Head of Creative

Intro

Founded by sisters Louisa and Rebecca, Regalrose is a British-born ecommerce jewellery retailer with over 15 years in business. Specialising in uniquely designed jewellery and accessories with a fierce edge and dreamy-dark twist, Regalrose is going from strength to strength as demonstrated by our exceptional growth over the last few years. We have built up a loyal community of passionate fans and customers, delivering our products to over 80 countries worldwide. We are now looking for an outstanding and experienced Head of Creative to join our team in our offices, located in St Albans.

About You

You will be a driven, self-motivated creative leader with an exceptional eye for brand and at least 10 years’ creative experience, or experience running a creative function as a Head of, Director or Senior Manager - ideally in fashion, jewellery or accessories. You will hold very high standards, make fast, confident creative calls under pressure, balance creativity with commercial awareness, and stay hands-on with asset creation while leading a team.

Requirements and Skills

As Head of Creative, you will be the guardian of the Regalrose brand - owning how it looks, sounds and feels across every channel, campaign and the website. Working from the founders’ vision, you will turn each collection into concepts, briefs, photography, copy and assets, lead the in-house creative team and have final creative approval on all outward-facing marketing. You will work as a peer to the Head of Marketing, who owns the commercial and go-to-market plan.

The Role and Accountabilities

Overall goal: Protect and grow the Regalrose brand by ensuring every piece of marketing and website output is on brand, to the highest standard and right first time.

  • Brand guardian:
    • Final creative decision-maker, with a brand veto on any marketing output.
    • Own the brand guidelines, copy and content rules, tone of voice, and social narrative and seasonal themes.
    • Keep the brand culturally relevant, filtering trends and performance insight through the brand lens.
  • Collection & campaign launches:
    • Turn the founders’ campaign vision into concepts, themes and the creative brief for every launch.
    • Develop the founders’ photoshoot concepts and lead photoshoot direction.
    • Own copywriting, artboard production and delivery of all assets; approve all copy, emails and assets before launch.
  • Channel & website creative:
    • Assets, copy and tone of voice for paid media, social, CRM, blog, PR and the website (product descriptions, e-commerce imagery, banners).
  • Partnerships:
    • Set the creator criteria across the four influencer pillars, sign off creator content and make the final call on Muse creators.
    • Own the content of paid and brand collaborations; identify licence and influencer collaboration candidates.
  • Leadership & budget:
    • Line manage the in-house creative team (currently Graphic Designer and Content Creator) and external creative suppliers.
    • Own the creative production budget and decide whether new or ad-hoc go-to-market elements can be resourced.
    • Present creative strategy to the founders at agreed steer points; collaborate with the Head of Marketing and other department leads.

This is not an exhaustive list of tasks.

Qualifications Required

  • 10+ years’ creative experience, or experience running a creative function (Head of, Director or Senior Manager)
  • Ideally from a fast-paced retail, fashion or jewellery/accessories brand; ideally degree qualified in a creative discipline
  • Brand management across digital, social, CRM, web, print and packaging
  • Art direction of shoots and video; strong copywriting and editing
  • Hands-on with Adobe Suite (specifically Illustrator), CapCut and Klaviyo
  • Creative team leadership and budget ownership

Due to the nature of our business, our peak time stretches from November to January. As a small yet growing business, annual leave must be kept to a minimum during those months.
